Goals & Objectives
1999-2000

 
  1. Goal: The committee will review school space needs/usage.

    2. Objectives:
    1. The committee will update the space inventory.
    2. The committee will review enrollment projections and current enrollment figures.
    3. The committee will review plans for improving traffic patterns and parking at all district schools.
     
  2. Goal: The committee will review district land utilization.

    3. Objective:
    1. Pending receipt of complete surveys, the committee will make a recommendation regarding future use of Buker, Thorntons Ferry and Timmins sites.
     
  3. Goal: The committee will assist with the implementation of the district technology plan.

    4. Objective:
    1. The committee will continue to work with the Technology Committee to develop and implement a technology plan.
     
  4. Goal: The committee will work on planning for future district needs.

    5. Objectives:
    1. The committee will develop a long range Master Plan for school needs including kindergarten to meet the town growth as projected in the "Build-Out" Study.
    2. The committee will review and update the Capital Improvement Plan.
    3. The committee will review and renew the Capital Reserve Funds and the Capital Trust Fund.
    4. The committee will work on charges approved by the School Board in regard to future district development.
     
  5. Goal: The committee will work toward providing the district with adequate, safe athletic facilities to meet all student needs.

    6. Objectives:
    1. The committee will continue to work with appropriate committees/organizations to enhance and improve the new high school athletic facilities.
    2. The committee will work with Parent Teacher Organizations to improve the current recreational areas.
     
  6. Goal: The committee will work to improve town-wide communication regarding school district facility utilization and needs.

    7. Objectives:
    1. The committee will maintain a Web page.
    2. The committee will explore effective forms of communication.
    3. The committee will explore ways to improve public awareness of the committee's achievements.
