The Planning and Building Committee is an elected body that serves to look at long range school district needs. The public is invited to attend all meetings. Meeting agendas are posted at the Superintendent's office, all schools, town hall, the library and the post office. Minutes of prior meetings are available for public inspection at the superintendent's office, at the library, and on this web page.

The committee investigates space needs, reviews the Capital Improvement Plan (C.I.P.), assists the schools' Technology Committee, works with local groups to provide adequate athletic facilities, and in general provides assistance to the School Board for similar activities.

The schools which comprise the Merrimack School District are:

oJames Mastricola Elementary School (JMES)
oReeds Ferry Elementary School (RFES)
oThorntons Ferry Elementary School (TFES)
oJames Mastricola Upper Elementary School (JMUES)
oMerrimack Middle School (MMS)
oMerrimack High School (MHS)
