  1. Open Outlook Express.

  2. From the Tools menu, choose Accounts.

  3. Select your email account in the Account list.

    Note: Your email account may have a different name from the example below, but the type will be "mail." Make sure it is your ISONE account if you receive mail from multiple places!

  4. Click the Properties button.

  5. Click on the Servers tab.

  6. Verify the contents of the Outgoing mail (SMTP) field as shown below.
  7. Check the box next to My server requires authentication.
  8. Click the Settings button.

  9. Select Log on using.
  10. In the Account name field, type your USERNAME, NOT your entire email address (e.g., joe, NOT joe@isone.com).
  11. In the Password field, type in your password.
  12. Check the box next to Remember passwordif you would like your password to be saved. If you do not you will be prompted for it every time you send mail.
  13. Click the OK button.
